Drink water prior to coming to workout and have a bottle on the deck and drink as needed throughout the practice. Unless you constantly replenish your body’s water supply, your cells start to draw water from your bloodstream. As the result, your blood becomes thicker and your heart works harder, and your body starts to redirect blood away from less vital areas.Eat a high carbohydrate, low fat diet. This delays fatigue and fuels the muscles.Avoid sugar, caffeine, and alcohol between workout sessions.Sunscreen should be worn all the time. For those who train outdoors, apply a new coat 10-15 minutes before you jump in the pool. This gives the lotion a chance to soak in and give better protection in the water.
