There will be a Master’s Swim Meet at the Nitro Swim Center on Saturday, March 1st at 12:30 pm (warmup at 11:30).  Go here for info and application.  The Nitro swim center is indoors and opened this past summer in Cedar Park (near the intersection of Parmer Lane and 1431).  The competition pool is 25yds by 50 meters with 23 lanes for short course - so lots of warmup/cool down space even during the meet.

An high-school classmate brought this to my attention: ABW | Athletes for a Better World A good cause that promotes sportsmanship and doesn’t want your money. Your humble webmaster thinks we should be interested.

For anyone wishing to get a race in early, there is a time trial meet in Austin on Feb 2. The kids will go first, followed by a Masters segment that should have a 1:30 warm-up and 2:30 start. Check out the entry form for more details.
