After what seemed an endless supply of incredible Nut’s from MOST, finally the NASTI’s have struck back!!  Welcome Nasti member, Brian Reeves to the Butternuts!  Brian, aged 45, joined us with an inaugural swim of 1500 meters at the Forest Park Aquatic Center on June 27th, 2008!  His time:  Sloooooow!!  Congratulations Brian!!

And, by the way, thanks to a great suggestion from Butternut Linda Calloway of MOST, if any of you are planning to attend Long Course Nationals this month in Oregon, let me know.  There is a social planned on Saturday night, and we’ll see if we can arrange for the Butternuts in attendance to get together for a few minutes to share stories and get a picture taken.  Let me know if you are going!!  AND, keep ‘Flyin’!! Doug

So far, it looks like Kat Boyer, Julie Eakle, Chris Mayhew, Doug Jelen and Linda Callaway have all indicated that they are attending LC Nat’s!!  Sadly, I won’t be this year!  BUT it looks like Doug will be the Thorn amidst the Roses for this social gathering.  I owe Kat a shirt which is on its way and I’m hoping that one of you will take some pictures to forward back so that we can add them to our website!!  If I can figure out how to get a BUTTERNUT BANNER to you in time, we’ll plan to hang it at Nationals from now on just to let them know we are as advertised…TRULY NUTS!!!!  Good luck to those of you who are swimming at LC Nats!!  We’ll all be rooting for you!!  Best, Doug
